The Heights Newborn Photographer
Nestled within the vibrant community of The Heights in Texas, amid the eclectic charm of historic homes and bustling streets, lies a beautiful and nurturing environment for raising a newborn. The Heights, located just 26 minutes from my studio as a newborn photographer, offers a delightful setting for new families to embark on their journey.
My path into nursing was guided by a profound desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. For years, I dedicated myself to providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families, navigating the intricacies of healthcare with empathy and skill. While fulfilling, my nursing career eventually sparked a desire within me to explore new avenues of creativity and self-expression. It was then that I realized the potential of photography to merge my passion for artistry with my healthcare background, creating a harmonious blend of compassion and creativity.
Armed with a camera and fueled by ambition, I embarked on a new chapter of my professional journey—a transition from nursing to the artistry of newborn photography. Drawing from my nursing experiences, I approached this new venture with a profound sense of empathy, understanding, and dedication to excellence.
As a former nurse turned newborn photographer, safety and comfort became paramount in my approach. Leveraging my medical training, I ensured that every session was conducted with meticulous care and attention to detail, prioritizing the well-being of the precious newborns entrusted to my care. From selecting props to positioning poses, I approached each session with a keen eye for safety and a commitment to creating a nurturing environment for both infants and parents.
To secure your preferred session slot, we recommend booking your newborn session during the second trimester. With only four sessions available each month, early booking is crucial. Securing your spot is a straightforward process—simply submit a signed contract and a non-refundable $100 retainer fee, indicating your preferred due date or induction/c-section date.
Newborns are renowned for their peaceful and cooperative demeanor, particularly between 5 and 18 days of age, making this period ideal for capturing those precious poses. Sessions are conveniently scheduled on weekend mornings in the studio, providing flexibility for families to accommodate their busy schedules.
Upon booking, clients gain access to our comprehensive newborn session guide and a survey to specify their color and prop preferences. We provide all necessary props, swaddles, bonnets, and backdrops, ensuring a stress-free experience for both parents and infants.
Parents are encouraged to bring extra milk and diapers for their baby, along with a cooler for milk storage if needed. Our studio's proximity to a nearby Kroger's ensures convenient access to any additional supplies required.
Safety remains our top priority, with my background as a registered nurse ensuring proper handling and room temperature maintenance throughout the session. Our studio undergoes meticulous sanitation, with all touched surfaces cleaned to maintain a hygienic environment.
Following the session, clients receive a soft proof gallery containing edited images, from which they can select their favorites based on their chosen package. Additional photos can be purchased if desired, with Texas sales tax applied to all orders.
