Nestled amid the vibrant neighborhood of Kingwood, Texas, surrounded by tranquil nature trails and warm-hearted communities, lies an optimal environment for nurturing newborns. Just a brief 26-minute drive from my studio as a newborn photographer, Kingwood offers an enchanting backdrop for families embarking on this wondrous journey.
My journey into nursing was fueled by an innate desire to positively impact the lives of others. For years, I dedicated myself to providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families, navigating the complexities of healthcare with empathy and expertise. While fulfilling, my nursing career eventually ignited a longing within me to explore avenues of creativity and self-expression. It was then that I recognized the potential of photography to blend my passion for artistry with my healthcare background, resulting in a harmonious fusion of compassion and creativity.
Armed with a camera and propelled by ambition, I embarked on a new phase of my professional journey—a transition from nursing to the artistry of newborn photography. Drawing upon my nursing experiences, I approached this new venture with a profound sense of empathy, understanding, and dedication to excellence.
As a former nurse turned newborn photographer, safety and comfort became paramount in my approach. Leveraging my medical training, I ensured that each session was conducted with meticulous care and attention to detail, prioritizing the well-being of the precious newborns entrusted to my care. From hand-selecting props to orchestrating poses, I approached each session with a vigilant eye for safety and a commitment to creating a nurturing environment for both infants and parents.
To secure your preferred session slot, we highly recommend booking your newborn session during the second trimester. With only four sessions available each month, early booking is essential. Securing your spot is a streamlined process—simply submit a signed contract and a non-refundable $100 retainer fee, specifying your preferred due date or induction/c-section date.
Newborns are celebrated for their serene and cooperative demeanor, particularly between 5 and 18 days of age, making this timeframe ideal for capturing those treasured moments. Sessions are conveniently scheduled on weekend mornings in the studio, offering flexibility for families to accommodate their bustling schedules.
Upon booking, clients gain access to our comprehensive newborn session guide and a survey to tailor their color and prop preferences. We provide all essential props, swaddles, bonnets, and backdrops, ensuring a seamless experience for both parents and infants.
Parents are encouraged to bring along extra milk and diapers for their baby, along with a cooler for milk storage if necessary. Our studio's proximity to a nearby Kroger's ensures convenient access to any additional supplies required.
Safety remains our utmost priority, with my background as a registered nurse guaranteeing proper handling and room temperature maintenance throughout the session. Our studio undergoes meticulous sanitation, with all touched surfaces diligently cleaned to uphold a hygienic environment.
Following the session, clients receive a soft proof gallery containing edited images, allowing them to select their favorites based on their chosen package. Additional photos are available for purchase if desired, with Texas sales tax applied to all orders.
